Position Summary:
Planet Fitness is looking for a skilled and passionate Barber to join our team and be a key part of our Black Spa amenities, an exclusive service designed to provide members with a premium grooming experience. As a Barber at Planet Fitness, you’ll not only deliver exceptional haircuts and grooming services but also play a vital role in enhancing the member experience within our Black Spa.QualificationsKey Responsibilities:
Welcome and consult with clients to understand their hair and grooming preferences.
Perform haircuts, trims, and grooming services with precision, using clippers, and scissors.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation and salon area, following all sanitation and safety protocols.
Educate clients on hair care maintenance and recommend suitable products.
Contribute to the daily operation of the Black Spa amenities, ensuring top-tier service and a luxurious member experience.
Assist in the day-to-day management and upkeep of the Black Spa amenities, ensuring all services and spaces meet high-quality standards.
Collaborate with team members to ensure an exceptional experience for our members.
Provide a welcoming, customer-first experience that aligns with the judgment-free philosophy of Planet Fitness.
Qualifications:
Active state Barber’s license & certifications (marbete).
Previous experience as a Barber is preferred.
Expertise in various haircut styles, beard grooming, and current trends.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods.
Bilingual abilities (Spanish/English) are a plus.

What you'll do
- The Barber will welcome and consult with clients to understand their grooming preferences and perform haircuts and grooming services. They will also maintain a clean workstation and contribute to the operation of the Black Spa amenities.
