About this role

The Aircraft Appearance Technician plays a key role in delivering superior aircraft appearance, cleanliness, and service quality to support safe and efficient flight operations. This position is responsible for performing detailed aircraft cleaning, sanitation, stocking, and preparation for departure, as well as assisting with ground movements and hangar upkeep. Technicians must adhere to all company safety practices, maintain compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations, and ensure accurate completion of required documentation.

Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, professionalism, physical capability to perform labor-intensive tasks in all weather conditions, and flexibility to meet dynamic scheduling and operational needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Adhere to and promote all company safety practices and policies.
  2. Aircraft cleaning, polishing, detailing
  3. Completing all required paperwork.
  4. Ensure compliance with all Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR’s).
  5. Catering, stocking aircraft of food and supplies
  6. Aid with ground movements (Wing walking)
  7. Preparing aircraft for departure.
  8. Hangar housekeeping.
  9. Aircraft Sanitation service
  10. Vehicle transport of flight crews and company personnel as requested. (crew rides)
  11. General maintenance of aircraft cleaning equipment.
  12. Ability to work in all-weather environments.

Qualifications

This position provides a high level of cleaning, service and detail to aircraft. Professional, well-groomed appearance must be maintained at all times.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years’ Aviation experience in detailing or cleaning preferred.
  • Ability to physically and mentally perform job functions (such as lifting equipment and items, safely operating equipment, following instructions for the use of chemicals and supplies).
  • Secure and sustain Valid State Driver's license
  • Ability to pass 10-year criminal history records checks a must.

Computer Skills:

  • The Aircraft Appearance Technician should be proficient in Microsoft Office, and various web-based applications.

Other Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent computer, attention to detail, time management, verbal communication, and written skills are necessary.

Work Schedule & Availability:

This position requires flexibility in scheduling. Work schedules are not fixed and are determined by the needs of the business. Schedules are typically provided on a biweekly basis by the supervisor; however, they may be adjusted, changed, or extended with limited notice due to operational demands, weather conditions, flight activity, or other business needs. Technicians must be able to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
