The Stakeholder Process Specialist provides training, coordination and process support for PJM's stakeholder committees and groups. The Stakeholder Process Specialist works with PJM Management to assist in the implementing strategies to build effective stakeholder support for issues that are considered in the PJM stakeholder process. The Stakeholder Process Specialist is responsible for assisting the Manager, Stakeholder Process & Engagement and broader Stakeholder Affairs team with the maintenance and implementation of the PJM Stakeholder Process and corresponding process Manual, and for supporting the identification and implementation of efficiencies to the PJM Stakeholder Process and PJM's internal processes and procedures. The Stakeholder Process Specialist will work with the Stakeholder Process & Engagement department to educate internal staff and stakeholders on PJM's processes and procedures and provide support for PJM stakeholder meetings, the voting process and application, and secured meeting registrations. The Stakeholder Process Specialist possesses knowledge of select stakeholder issues in the stakeholder process as assigned.

Essential Functions:

  • Support the development and implementation of processes and tools to ensure timely and accurate performance of all aspects of the PJM stakeholder process.
  • Assist in the development and communication of effective strategies that support the continual evolution of the PJM Stakeholder Process.
  • Partner with the Stakeholder Affairs team to support PJM stakeholders, stakeholder groups and internal functions to effectively address emerging issues.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of select issues in PJM's stakeholder process as assigned.
  • Assist in the training of PJM staff (facilitators and secretaries) on PJM's Stakeholder Process Manual, effective techniques and/or the relevant tools/systems available.
  • Aid in the support of PJM stakeholders, including the potential onboarding of new Members, addressing stakeholder meeting logistics, the Voting Application, the Issue Tracking tool, and related processes.
  • Assist in the selection, development, and maintenance of training materials and guides and other stakeholder process resources for PJM employees.
  • Support the development and maintenance of documentation, reference materials and webpage content addressing PJM's stakeholder process for PJM employees and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate the ability to present complex issues to senior management and stakeholders in support of a collaborative decision making process.
  • Serve as a secretary for PJM committees or stakeholder groups when assigned to a role.
  • Support the administration of the Voting Application and related processes, including providing support in the development of requirements for further enhancements and rigorous testing of all application changes.
  • Support the PJM Issue Tracking tool, including providing support in the development of requirements for further enhancements and rigorous testing of all application changes.
  • Provide technical and user support for the stakeholder process related tools including the Voting Application, Roster Manager, Issue Tracking, and related access securities.
  • Support the management of the secured access and approval process associated with secured stakeholder groups and meeting registration.
  • Provide support for PJM staff fulfilling stakeholder process related roles providing coordination and support in the automated meeting material posting process, tagging meeting materials, sending stakeholder communications and fulfilling their role in a manner consistent with current processes.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of the stakeholder meeting calendar and with the logistics, planning and coordination for PJM events (PJM Annual Meeting, symposiums, conferences).


Characteristics and Qualifications:
Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • Experience using effective verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to visualize and solve complex problems
  • Ability to possess a customer focus and an awareness of the importance of the customer in a service organization
  • Ability to apply business knowledge and technical expertise in order to provide technical advice and assistance to PJM customers
  • Ability to partner with appropriate PJM internal partners to ensure efficient and effective support
  • Experience with the PJM stakeholder process, committee meeting format as well as voting procedure

Preferred

  • MBA degree
  • Experience with PJM operations, markets, and/or planning functions
  • Experience with industry issues as they apply to the PJM stakeholder processes
  • Experience with the PJM Stakeholder Process and PJM Agreements and Tariffs, especially as they apply to the PJM Stakeholder and Membership Application Processes
  • Experience with the PJM stakeholder process, committee meeting format as well as voting procedure
