About this role

The Truck Driver plays a vital role in supporting the coordination, delivery, and maintenance of company materials, assemblies, and equipment. Working closely with company personnel, this position performs a variety of tasks essential to daily operations.
Key requirements include strong communication, basic computer proficiency, and customer service skills. The role demands physical and mental stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
The Service Truck Driver is responsible for transporting, delivering, and handling materials, equipment, and supplies to designated locations while ensuring full compliance with company standards and safety protocols

Key Responsibilities

  • Transport and Deliver Materials: Safely move goods, assemblies, and equipment to jobsites, repair vendors, and other designated locations on schedule.
  • Loading and Unloading: Handle materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, or manual methods; follow work orders and instructions to determine items to be moved.
  • Cargo Security: Properly fasten and secure loads with strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting, damage, or exposure to weather.
  • Vehicle and Equipment Care: Inspect trucks before and after use, perform routine service (greasing, oiling, coolant checks), track maintenance needs, refuel, and keep vehicles clean.
  • Documentation and Tracking: Verify delivery information, obtain signatures, and maintain accurate logs to support manufacturing and operational needs.
  • Customer Service and Collaboration: Interact courteously with customers, dispatch, and project teams; work closely with warehouse staff, project managers, and other trades to support operations.
  • Compliance and Safety: Follow company policies, traffic laws, and safety protocols at all times.
  • Additional Support Duties: Assist with yard and shop work, fabrication or repair of company equipment, and troubleshoot basic systems such as lighting.

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Clean driving record with no moving violations
  • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and electric lifts
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Proficient with GPS and routing systems; strong sense of direction
  • Physically and mentally fit; able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Dependable, disciplined, and safety-focused
