Job Title: Clinic Lead

Opportunity:

This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing company at the ground level. We are looking for an individual with previous experience in ophthalmology with a desire to move into a management role. Responsibilities include assisting the Executive Director in all aspects of operations of the center, including staffing, patient satisfaction, employee satisfaction, identifying training needs to promote a learning environment, enhancing overall patient and employee experience, and proactively identifying and responding to areas of opportunity within the center. This is a hands-on role for a growing organization.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assists Executive Director in developing and implementing new hires and ongoing training.
  • Review resumes and completes phone screening applicants 
  • Monitors quality control including but not limited to: patient flow, chart accuracy, and technician work-ups.
  • Oversee and assign duties and tasks to clinical technician members. 
  • Identifies and recommends procedural changes and solutions for inefficiencies practice wide.
  • Seeks innovative ways to integrate changes to further enhance overall patient and staff experience. 
  • Assists in developing trust through transparency in communication and individual actions
  • Super-user for EHR software and regularly identifies and recommends areas for improvement.
  • Performs work related tasks and projects as required. 
  • Responsible for all administrative tasks and responsibilities assigned by the ED, including those associated with patient work-ups, as outlined in the duties above.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Candidate Qualities & Qualifications:

  • COA certification is highly desirable.
  • 3 years of ophthalmic experience required.
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations. 
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a team; develops strong collaborative working relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills; written and documentation skills.
  • Professional & reliable demeanor with strong work ethic; ability to remain calm in difficult situations.
  • Excellent time management skills, organizing and prioritizing workload, in order to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to quickly learn new software, new systems, adapt to change and communicate effectively.
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously within inflexible time.
  • Ability to adapt to frequent priority changes.


Supervision Received: Reports to Clinic Executive Director        

 

Typical Physical Demands: Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds and able to push and pull equipment. It requires good visual acuity(near, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception), hearing in the normal range and ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) (gloves, face mask, eye shield, gown). Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours. It requires exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.


Typical Working Conditions: Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a clinic environment. Work is indoors in a climate-controlled environment.
