Phoebe Putney Health System (PPHS) is a not-for-profit healthcare delivery system that serves more than half a million residents in Southwest Georgia. With more than 4,300 employees, the system is made up of three hospitals, family medicine clinics, rehabilitation facilities and specialty physician offices. Phoebe Physicians, our employed-physician group, includes well over 300 clinicians who work in 42 clinics in 9 counties. Founded in 1911, Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital (PPMH) is the health system’s flagship hospital and one of Georgia’s largest comprehensive regional medical centers with 691 beds. PPMH offers medical-surgical care, emergency treatment, cardiac care, obstetrics, pediatrics, wound care and a woman’s health center as well as many services, including: state-of-the-art Cancer Center, Heart & Vascular Center, and the region’s only provider of neonatal intensive care.

Additionally, PPHS includes Phoebe Sumter Medical Center, a 76-bed community hospital in Americus, Ga., and Phoebe Worth Medical Center, a 25-bed critical access hospital located in Sylvester, Ga.
