Job Description Summary:

We are looking for an Advanced Practice Provider to join our Cancer Center Family. Phoebe Cancer Center provides streamlined treatment process, state-of-the-art-technology and services, as well as patient convenience and accessibility to treatment areas. Special design features promote a pleasant, tranquil, healing environment for patients and visitors.  We are committed to continuing the development of a world class, community-based regional cancer center. Phoebe's Cancer Center offers cutting-edge cancer therapies and features across 3 locations. Some features include 30+ treatment rooms, 50+ infusion chemotherapy stations, a bone marrow transplant room, interventional radiology and more. 


Responsible for patient care management, counseling, education of patients and families in collaboration with facility MD's.

Description:

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Master's Degree in Nursing or Physician Assisting (Required)

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • 4+ years experience in supervision and independent decision making in major nursing areas (Preferred)

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSURES

  • Required Certifications/Licensures: Nurse Practitioners Certification (NP-C) or Physician Assistant Certified (PA-C) , Basic Life Support (BLS), Department Specific Certifications may be required.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Adheres to the hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines

  • Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission and vision of the organization

  • Performs other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures

  • Maintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (i.e., self education, attends ongoing educational programs)

  • Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time.

  • Demonstrates competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs. For non-clinical areas, has attended training and demonstrates usage of age- specific customer service skills.

  • Wears protective clothing and equipment as appropriate.

  • General environment: Works in a well-lighted, air-conditioned area, with moderate noise levels.

  • May be exposed to high noise levels and bright lights.

  • May be exposed to limited hazardous substances or body fluids, or infectious organisms.

  • May be required to change from one task to another of different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.

  • Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur.

  • Long-distance or air travel as needed - not to exceed 10% travel.
