Job Title: Specialist I - Product Security

Work Location: Bangalore

Who can apply? Minimum 3 years' experience in Pentest, penetration testing, ethical hacking, security assessment, security testing, vulnerability management and penetration testing VAPT with Domain expertise in Web / Webservice / API or Mobile app (Android, iOS) or Network/ System/ Containers - Docker, K8 Kubernetes

Job Profile Summary:

The Product Security Professional is responsible for conducting comprehensive security assessments across Philips products and systems, implementing improvement activities, promoting secure coding practices, integrating security tools, adhering to standards and performing periodic reviews to ensure robust protection and resilience against potential threats and vulnerabilities. The role assists in incorporating security tools into product development pipelines, ensuring effective integration and alignment with security requirements. The role adheres to security standards, verifying that products meet best practices and requirements. The role conducts periodic security reviews, enhancing product security and risk management.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conducts comprehensive security assessments, thereby ensuring the robustness and resilience of the assessed entity against potential threats and vulnerabilities.

  • Performs security assessments on diverse systems, including Philips products, IT applications, and mobile apps, by performing tasks such as security risk assessments, ethical hacking, secure code analysis, and deploying security tools.

  • Implements improvement activities to enhance the security posture of Philips products and services, including IT and mobile applications, by identifying vulnerabilities and integrating security measures to ensure robust protection.

  • Promotes and supports the adoption of secure coding practices by providing guidance, facilitating training, and ensuring that development teams integrate security measures into their coding processes.

  • Assists in incorporating security tools into the product development pipeline by ensuring seamless integration, configuring tools to align with security requirements, and collaborating with development teams to embed these tools effectively.

  • Adheres to security standards and protocols across products to ensure adherence to best practices, integrating necessary security measures, and verifying that products meet established security requirements.

  • Conducts periodic security reviews and assessments by evaluating security measures, identifying vulnerabilities, and contributing to the overall enhancement of product security and risk management.

  • Assesses moderate security vulnerabilities and potential threats by conducting thorough evaluations, identifying weaknesses, and analyzing risks to ensure robust protection against potential breaches and attacks.

  • Stays current with industry trends and demonstrates this expertise in work by integrating the latest insights and best practices, reflecting a deep understanding of the evolving landscape and maintaining a high level of competency.


Minimum required Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information technology, Cybersecurity, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Security or equivalent.

  • Minimum 3 to 8 yrs of experience in Product Security role.

How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
