Program Manager

  • Responsible for End-to-End leading of a project to deliver design change for a product, technology, system, solutions, services.

  • Manage the multiple projects from Obsolescence, supply chain transfer, customer improvements, productivity, value creation in line with DXR products.

  • From the initial start until the introduction in the Market, or internal delivery, by gaining agreements on and achieving project scope and objectives while balancing schedule, cost, quality, requirements and keeping abreast of developments in project management tools and processes as well as technical domain.

  • Manages projects ensuring execution is in line with project guidelines and directives

Your role

  • You are responsible to Lead cross functional project team. This team includes all functions delivering to project (e.g. Engineering, marketing, Q&R, operations, customer support, Technical publications, Procurement etc. as applicable).

  • Manage complete NPI or MLD Project and MLD Change activities ensuring smooth functioning in Lifecycle Management or New Product Development.

  • Drive compliance to your project schedule across all functions and secure agreed project milestones.

  • Collaborate with teams on cross functional delivery plans and any changes within Facilitate interaction, manage inter-dependencies & conflict resolution among all functional teams, regardless of geographic region.

  • Communicate project status to DXR R&D Projects and LCM Leader as required through periodic reports and formal program reviews. Identify risks / issues / scope creeps impacting project schedule, quality or cost and mitigate / take corrective action.

  • Highlight these transparently to the BU management team. Responsible for vendor management & interfacing with other programs (delivering or client programs) Encourages partnering: Develops cooperative relationships to achieve Project results through a win-win relationship. Have a mission of trending Improvements over time.

  • Facilitates / Implements/ Contributes Organization wide Project Management Improvement Initiatives, Support team building: Builds mutual trust and encourages respect and cooperation among Cross Functional project Core teams.

  • You are accountable to: Deliver your project or program on quality, on time, on cost and other project deliverables as per agreed plan. Manage all PDLM/MLD activities and milestones Overall project execution and product delivery meeting Business KPIs.

  • Build a successful, pro-active project team through effective people management and team coaching to create a motivated team, committed to the project assignment.

  • Set up and maintain strong relationships with internal and external suppliers. Ensure and maintain the required quality through adequate configuration management for product, documentation, and process changes.

  • Report project status to the cross-functional Project Core Team to identify conflicts and to enable effective decision-making.

You are a part of:

DXR R&D group which is a global organization organized by product tiers & platforms. Each product tier is composed of various products & solutions. The DXR R&D is located primarily in Pune but is responsible for the R&D activity done globally.

You are fit if:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical /Electrical engineering with 15+ years of work experience.

  • Highly cross functional and business oriented. Strong technical background in R&D engineering disciplines (e.g. electronics, software, mechanics) to manage multidisciplinary (R&D) stakeholder/perception management skills

  • Good people management skills with Strong leadership competences

  • Excellent integral (cross functional) stakeholder/perception management skills  

  • PMP certification is desirable.

  • Accountable/Reliable

  • Organizational talent, Decision taker, entrepreneur         

  • Pro-active and taking initiative with enterprise mindset

  • Ability to handle cultural differences and foreign development teams (e.g. related to supplier and subcontract management)

  • Familiar with Q-systems and standards

  • Flexibility to work with changing priorities. Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

  • Convincing communicator and open for different views  

How we work together:
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.

Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.

Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

This role is an office-based role.
