EHS Project Manager for the Nordics (fixed term position)

Job Description

Lead and manage Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives across the Nordic region, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal standards. Drive continuous improvement in EHS practices and serve as the primary point of contact for environmental and safety matters.
This role is a fixed-term role for maternity cover.


Your role:

  • Lead EHS programs and initiatives across Nordic sites.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, ISO 14001/45001 standards, and internal requirements.
  • Manage audit findings and CAPAs through to closure.
  • Oversee ISO 14001 external audits and support customer/regulatory audits.
  • Develop and maintain the EHS Management System.
  • Conduct regular management reviews and monitor KPI’s.
  • Prepare/ update risk assessments. Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement preventive actions.
  • Support emergency preparedness and crisis management activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to improve safety and environmental practices.
  • Act as the main contact for environmental producer organizations and prepare data for reporting.


You're the right fit if:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field e.g. environmental science, engineering or HR.
  • Previous experience from EHS or related field.Change management
  • Communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in a Nordic language is an advantage.
