About this role

Arbour Group is looking for a full-time Contract Specialist to join their client's organization, a leading elevator and escalator consulting and inspection firm in the U.S.

The Corporate Contract Specialist plays a crucial role in managing and overseeing the company's contractual agreements to ensure compliance and mitigate risks. This position involves analyzing contract terms and conditions, negotiating favorable terms, and ensuring that all contracts align with the organization's strategic goals. The specialist will collaborate with various departments to gather necessary information and provide guidance on contractual obligations. Additionally, they will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of contracts and amendments, facilitating renewals, and ensuring timely execution. Ultimately, the Corporate Contract Specialist contributes to the organization's success by safeguarding its interests and fostering strong relationships with vendors and partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and process claims and subpoenas
  • Monitor, maintain, and negotiate master service agreements
  • Review and negotiate client agreements
  • Review client markups on VDA proposals
  • Assist with requesting project specific COI’s after contract execution
  • Open Projects in Salesforce for various types of consulting jobs
  • NJ notary
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, preferred bachelor’s degree, preferred paralegal certificate
  • 4-6 years paralegal experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to review and markup contracts with a critical eye
  • Ability to communicate effectively in-person, on the phone, and via teleconferencing both internally and with clients
  • General knowledge of the US Legal System
  • General knowledge of insurance processes
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook, Elevate
