About this role


 

The Opportunity:  The Part-Time Evening Pharmacy Technician Instructor will teach and guide students in our Pharmacy Technician program, focusing on developing practical skills, foundational knowledge, and professional competencies required for success in the field. This position requires teaching in a classroom, synchronously and/or in a lab environment, and may involve assisting with externship placements. 

Key Responsibilities

Instruction and Curriculum Delivery: 
  • Deliver engaging, interactive lectures and hands-on lab sessions in accordance with the established curriculum.
  • Ensure course materials align with state and industry standards for pharmacy technicians.

Student Engagement and Support:
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Provide guidance to students to help them master key concepts, techniques, and soft skills.
  • Evaluate and assess student progress through tests, assignments, and practical exercises

Program Administration: 
  • Maintain accurate attendance and grade records.
  • Assist in updating and revising curriculum as needed to meet industry trends.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to align with program goals.

Compliance and Standards:
  • Ensure teaching aligns with certification standards (e.g., National Health Career Association)
  • Stay updated with industry developments and certifications relevant to pharmacy technicians.

Skills & Knowledge Requirements:

  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • Prior teaching or training experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy software and tools.

Availability:

  • This is an in-person role requiring face-to-face interaction with students, located in Arlington and Red Oak, TX.
