ROLE SUMMARY
The Business Operations, Services, & Solutions (BOS&S) division within GBS Enterprise Services was created to deliver services internally to Pfizer colleagues and divisions that help create room for meaningful work. By delivering our services with high performance against the Five Points of Value (i.e. optimal cost, quality, compliance, client experience, and business impact), we help colleagues spend more time focusing on their missions; all in support of breakthroughs that change patients’ lives. The services our team delivers include fleet operations, records management, privacy operations, data analytics, translations services, contingent labor, et. al.
Working as part of a team of Enterprise Services Fleet professionals, the Sr. Associate (Fleet) position is directly responsible for ensuring that consistent and optimized in market operations & outsourced operational processes, services are developed and delivered in accordance with Pfizer global & local policies, as well as operating standards. The role provides subject matter and analytical support as needed for supplier selection, developing and measuring team metrics, internal spend and savings, external supplier financials and information, market and economic dynamics and fleet processes.
This position is primarily responsible for delivering fleet operational services through third‑party outsourced providers. It supports the ES Fleet Regional Lead in evaluating business opportunities, assessing supplier capabilities, engaging directly with external partners, and offering data‑driven recommendations. In partnership with the ES Fleet Regional Lead and regional fleet colleagues, the role also contributes to category strategy, sourcing and negotiation activities, and supplier relationship management, as required.
I. Operational Responsibilities
Manage day‑to‑day internal and external fleet operations in accordance with Pfizer Global Fleet Policy and operating standards.
Coordinate all fleet activities to ensure compliance with applicable transport legislation.
Provide effective local vendor management aligned with country and regional goals.
Support and/or own ARIBA processes (PO creation, ePay, etc.) associated with fleet operations.
Ensure accurate quarterly data feeds for KPI generation and inclusion in ES Fleet performance dashboards.
Coordinate quarterly reporting deliverables in accordance with Global Fleet Policy and safety requirements.
Conduct periodic vendor performance reviews and produce executive summaries.
Perform local policy reviews and support the development of vehicle selector lists.
Support colleague satisfaction surveys in partnership with Fleet Operational Excellence.
Conduct KPI‑driven vendor performance analysis.
Support and/or execute vendor audits in line with operational standards.
Act as a second‑level escalation point for colleague inquiries related to fleet operations.
Support analytical needs, including:
Internal and external data gathering
Market and supplier analysis
Data management, treatment, and interpretation
Collaborate with internal subject‑matter experts, suppliers, and consultants to define, implement, and document operational improvement initiatives and team strategies.
II. Sourcing & Contract Negotiation Support
Provide country‑specific subject‑matter expertise during sourcing events, including supplier due‑diligence activities to ensure alignment with Pfizer requirements and long‑term strategic potential.
III. Supplier Relationship Management
Support effective supplier performance management, including utilization of and compliance with Pfizer’s Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) framework.
IV. Client Engagement & Stakeholder Management
Promote Pfizer values and actively contribute to engagement within Enterprise Services.
Support ES Fleet colleagues in managing internal stakeholder relationships, including senior business leaders.
Build and maintain a strong cross‑functional network (e.g., Finance, Px/Comp & Ben) to support seamless operational execution.
Engage with counterparts across ES Fleet to share knowledge and best practices.
V. Business Process & Compliance
Support project‑office activities to ensure high‑quality, timely execution of team tasks.
Maintain awareness of available data sources, tools, and emerging technologies that enhance procurement and operational processes.
Ensure ES Fleet SharePoint sites are actively maintained, updated, and created when needed.
VI. Reporting
Produce data analyses and reporting in formats suitable for ES Fleet and broader Pfizer stakeholders.
Support financial reporting activities as required.
Deliver compliance reporting related to policies, processes, systems, and supplier adherence.
Prepare summary or detailed content for team meetings, stakeholder discussions, and sourcing events.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics / Supply Chain Management, or related field.
Ability to manage and prioritize a diverse workload in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Client engagement and customer relationship management skills.
Ability to understand and work on implementing continuous improvement opportunities.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear and effective presentations.
Highly self‑motivated and able to work effectively with limited oversight.
Experience
3+ years of experience in Fleet Operations, Procurement, Logistics, or related field
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, balance competing priorities, resolve conflicts, and consistently deliver value‑added results.
Experience identifying issues and driving appropriate problem‑solving actions
Experience with data analytics, reporting tools, Fleet Management software, or similar tools.
Knowledge
Basic understanding of project management, including the ability to participate in multiple cross-functional projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Strong analytical skills and knowledge of standard MS Office tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
