Role Summary

The Director, Quality Insights & Data Solutions Lead is responsible for leading the development and delivery of digital solutions for analytics and including AI capabilities that drive quality excellence & operational efficiency across PGS Labs, QA, RQA and SEO functions.
Key responsibilities include overseeing the existing Quality Analytics solutions e.g. Sherlock, EMDA, EHS DataMart, Devi, Claire and QC Sidekick. This role will collaborate across disciplines to integrate advanced analytics, AI and QSEO strategies into scalable solutions that drive continuous improvement while rationalizing and simplifying the solutions. The role also entails stakeholder management and governance at various levels with PGS and Digital & Technology organizations.

What You Will Achieve

In this role, you will:

  • Product Leadership and Strategy - Own the roadmap, governance, delivery and budget. Define and execute strategies to achieve quality excellence, compliance and operational optimization.

  • Program and Portfolio Mgmt - Lead cross-functional teams in the design, build, and deployment of digital solutions, ensuring robust data pipelines and analytics capabilities for quality operations.

  • Advanced AI and Analytics – Champion the use of analytics, AI and agentic AI to forecast trends, predict actions and improve decision-making to help identify opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and enhanced operational efficiency.

  • Data Standards & Ontologies – Collaborate with the business on the development, harmonisation, and enforcement of data standards, ontologies, and metadata structures across QSEO solutions. Ensure alignment with enterprise data models and cross-functional ontologies to enable semantic consistency, interoperability, high‑quality analytics, and scalable AI and agentic AI applications. Partner closely with Digital, Quality, and Data Governance teams to drive adoption, maintain documentation, and ensure ongoing conformance across the portfolio.

  • Operational Excellence - Drive standardization and replication of successful solutions across manufacturing sites using Agile. Establish KPIs and monitor performance against targets.

  • Stakeholder Engagement - Collaborate with site leadership, Forward Impact Team, and cross-functional stakeholders to align on objectives. Communicate program progress and value creation to executive leadership.

  • Governance & Compliance - Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal quality standards. Maintain documentation and audit readiness for all solutions.

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)

  • BA/BS or MBA/MS degree in Engineering, Quality, Information Systems, Data Science, or a closely related discipline plus 8+ years experience in quality operations, process optimization, or digital transformation or Master's degree and 7+ years of experience or PHD and 5+ years of experience .

  • Expertise in advanced analytics, and AI/ML applications in a GMP / Regulatory Compliant environment. With demonstrated curiosity for exploring how these tools can improve outcomes and understanding of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use

  • Proven experience working and building relationships with senior business Executives and leadership teams developing and delivering strategy and operating plans with demonstrated competency in strategic thinking, leadership, and relationship management

  • Ability to understand & lead large-scale system implementations in different technology focus areas

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships, influence outcomes, and deliver effective presentations to a variety of audiences

  • Adaptable and demonstrates flexibility in the face of shifting targets, thrives in new situations

  • Strategic thinker, understands the overall context, business implications, and is able to think through a problem both conceptually and logically for better solutions

Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)

  • Deep knowledge of quality processes within the pharmaceutical industry

  • Strong multi-discipline experience with a preference for experience in technology strategy and management, management consulting, and engineering

  • Ability to navigate and influence in a complex, matrixed organization

  • Expertise in Agentic AI capabilities

Work Location Assignment: Hybrid - 2.5 days a week .

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $176,600.00 to $282,900.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
