The Customer Experience (Marketing) team works to showcase our brand through the lens of expertise and love. They work to provide a personalized experience for our consumers backed by best-in-class, data-driven marketing capabilities. The Customer Experience team focuses across 4 departments including, Marketing, Creative, Communications, and our Loyalty & CRM team. Everyone brings their own point of view to create a unique experience for the pets and pet parents.

At PetSmart, teamwork and connection are core to how we thrive. This role is based at our Phoenix Home Office, with an expectation of working a minimum of four days in the office each week. In a standard work week, associates may work up to one remote “flex day” (with leader approval). As a Senior Copywriter, you’re a natural storyteller with a strategic mindset. You understand how words support brand vision, customer needs, and business goals. And you know how to make them work hard across channels and campaigns. You thrive in the always-on pace of retail, partner closely with designers and stakeholders, and bring clarity, heart, and intention to every line.
This role is for someone who is organized, deadline-driven, and comfortable juggling multiple projects at once. You edit thoughtfully, take feedback well, and bring a solutions-first attitude to everything you do.
You’re passionate about words, retail, and pets. And you’re excited by doing work that makes a real impact. Being a pet parent is a plus, but being an animal lover is a must.
