Our Technology team has 6 different departments: Information Security, Service Delivery, Business Enabling Systems, eCommerce & Marketing Technology, Data and Stores, Services & Supply Chain.

About the Location

Collaborative Work Environment:
At PetSmart, teamwork and connection are core to how we thrive. This role is based at our Phoenix Home Office, with an expectation of working a minimum of four days in the office each week. In a standard work week, associates may work up to one remote “flex day” (with leader approval). About the Job

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Sr. Application Analyst with a focus on Labor Applications to join our Technology team. This role is essential for developing and maintaining robust, scalable, and standardized labor management systems. Utilizing technologies such as UKG Workforce Central, UKG Pro, Task Management, the Sr. Application Analyst will be instrumental in supporting system enhancements, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance. This position requires an understanding of labor management processes and a commitment to leveraging technology to meet our company’s strategic goals.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a subject matter expert for all facets of labor management systems.
  • Effectively communicate and build consensus across teams and individuals at various organizational levels to clarify objectives and achieve goals.
  • Proactively identify and resolve problems independently while engaging others to address broader issues.
  • Work cross-functionally with various business and Technology teams to solve complex problems, distinguishing between technology, people, or process issues.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive operations and system support documentation, applying knowledge of the software development lifecycle in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley.
  • Develop and execute system and unit test scripts for projects, ensuring adherence to company and team standards for software changes.
  • Contribute to the design, testing, and deployment of custom objects and applications under guidance.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and independently manage system monitoring and configuration change issues.
  • Utilize exceptional communication skills to convey messages clearly in various settings, promoting knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Configure, manage, and maintain Labor and Task Management systems to ensure they meet our operational requirements and standards.
  • Partner with vendors to ensure that our Labor and Task Management solutions are continuously aligned with our business needs, facilitating the adaptation of new technologies and practices.
  • Actively support project initiatives, contributing to the planning, execution, and successful delivery of projects aimed at enhancing our labor management capabilities.

 

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience with UKG Pro Workforce Management (WFM) and/or 5+ years experience with UKG Workforce Central (WFC).
  • Solid understanding of computer systems, data networks, databases, operating systems, and their potential and limitations.
  • Multi-year experience in configuring, implementing, and supporting information systems, with direct experience on multiple projects.
  • Ability to interpret different viewpoints, assimilate them into work processes, and communicate technical or business knowledge effectively.
  • Strong foundation in policies, practices, trends, and information that affect the business and its functions.
