Field Superintendent - PL#19758

The Field Superintendent is responsible for overseeing field construction activities to ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all site safety programs, work plans, and contract requirements. This role plays a key part in coordinating contractors, supervising select field activities, and ensuring high standards of quality and productivity in a brownfield industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities / Job Duties:

• Ensure contractors work safely and comply with all safety program requirements.
• Review and/or develop detailed work plans according to workface planning processes.
• Supervise direct field labour on mechanical/piping scopes of work, ensuring safety and high-quality standards.
• Oversee contractor activities related to mechanical/piping work, confirming compliance with contract requirements.
• Inspect completed work to ensure standards are met, identify deficiencies, and manage their resolution.
• Monitor work schedules and productivity, collaborating with contractors and operations personnel to resolve issues.
• Validate and approve daily contractor submissions for labour, equipment, and materials.
• Coordinate field activities between contractors and operations teams as required.

• 10+ Years of experience in a similar role.
• Journeyperson Status – Electrical/Instrumentation or Mechanical
• Supervisor training
• First Aid certification
• WHMIS certification
• Pre-access substance testing completed
• Computer skills

Preferred / Nice to Have:

• Boilermaker trade background
• CSO designation
