What is the role?
Reporting to the Vice President of Franchise Store Operations, the Regional Director is responsible for all activities and sales results in the territory of franchised stores assigned. Key areas of focus will be successful team growth while meeting financial and operational objectives.
Salary Range - $110,000 - $125,000
What will you do?
- Manages and directs a territory (composed of several districts) to achieve sales and profit goals
- Manages multiple districts within a region and adjusts sales goals and procedures as appropriate for each district
- Leads district to ensure customer service model and initiative are in place, and stores’ sales exceed budgets
- Ensures territory expenses are within budget
- Monitors sales, KPIs and margin of assigned territory’s stores; Develops plans with Franchise Business Consultants to improve results
- Ensures incentive plans drive results
- Administration – paperwork, reporting, and coordinating moves/relocations, etc.
- Evaluates and implements appropriate new sales techniques to increase the region’s sales volume
- Designs and recommends sales programs and sets short- and long-term sales strategies
- Training, Monitoring & Enforcement of standards outlined in the Franchisee Agreement – ensures that new franchisees are adequately oriented & trained; ensures all company policies and operating procedures are followed
What will you need to succeed?
Education and Experience
- College level graduate (preferably from a Business, Retail or Marketing program) and/or extensive retail experience
- Minimum of 7 years retail chain experience at a District or multi-store management level leading 20+ stores in a large retail chain; ideally gained in a progressive operations roles
- Demonstrate strong retail visual merchandising skills
Knowledge and Skills
- Able to work independently, organize their work and the work of others; able to multi-task and move from day to day-operational activities to planning level activities as required.
- Results driven; Willingness to strive for improvements and hold others accountable for their results
- Strong problem solving skills
- Strong customer service skills; communication skills and a sense of urgency
- Able to operate a computer (MS office products) and cash register (including point of sale software)
- Must hold a current drivers license and be able to drive. Frequent trips are required
- Must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends when required
