Classification: Full Time: 8:00 am- 5:00 pm
Job Overview: Transportation Clerk works under general supervision of the Logistics Manager. This position performs clerical and administrative support functions within the Transportation department. The clerk organizes the transport, handling, storage and transportation of goods and provision of logistic services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate all inbound and outbound shipments
Monitor all shipments in transit
Receives and tracks all shipping notifications from Shippers.
Handle customer complaints, and investigate delivery issues, damaged products, and late deliveries.
Audit freight bills for billing accuracy.
Assist with loading and unloading of Trailers when needed.
Other duties as required
Competencies
Exceptional customer service skills
Adept at problem solving and conflict resolution.
Knowledge/Experience with Importing/Freight Forwarding preferable.
