Role Summary

The PGM for Outsourced Finance & Accounting Services is responsible for leading the operational excellence, transformation, and client delivery across core accounting, accounts payable (AP), and financial planning & analysis (FP&A) functions. The role focuses on service delivery management, digital enablement, financial control, and strategic insight generation to drive measurable value for global clients.

This leader ensures accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across the finance value chain while building and developing a high-performing team of professionals supporting multiple industries and geographies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership

• Define and execute the strategic roadmap for outsourced finance operations across Core Accounting, AP, and FP&A functions.
• Partner with global stakeholders to align process capabilities with client objectives, ensuring cost efficiency, scalability, and compliance.
• Develop performance goals, margin targets, and growth plans for assigned business units or client portfolios.
• Drive transformation through process standardization, automation, and analytics adoption.

2. Service Delivery & Operational Excellence

• Oversee day-to-day operations for:
  • Core Accounting – General ledger, month-end close, reconciliations, fixed assets, journal entries, and intercompany accounting.
  • Accounts Payable (AP) – Invoice processing, supplier management, payment runs, expense reimbursements, and exception handling.
  • FP&A – Budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, management reporting, and business insights.
• Monitor adherence to SLAs, internal controls, and compliance with IFRS/US GAAP standards.
• Drive process improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, and best-practice benchmarks.
• Lead audits (internal, external, SOX) and ensure audit readiness and control adherence across all functions.

3. People Leadership

• Lead a delivery team of managers and subject-matter experts across AP, Accounting, and FP&A.
• Develop leadership succession and professional development plans.
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and inclusion.
• Ensure staffing, training, and retention strategies are aligned with operational and client needs.

4. Client & Stakeholder Management

• Act as senior delivery executive for assigned global clients; maintain high levels of satisfaction and retention.
• Collaborate with client CFOs, Controllers, and FP&A Directors to deliver process insights and transformation opportunities.
• Serve as an escalation point for complex client issues and drive timely resolution.
• Partner with sales and solutioning teams to expand client relationships within existing accounts.

5. Digital Transformation & Analytics

• Champion automation of repetitive tasks in AP and Accounting through RPA, AI, and intelligent OCR.
• Embed analytics capabilities within FP&A to generate predictive and prescriptive financial insights.
• Partner with IT and transformation teams to integrate ERP enhancements, BI dashboards, and data governance improvements.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• CPA, CMA, or equivalent accounting qualification preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with at least 5 years in leadership roles managing (1) outsourced or shared-service F&A operations and/or (2) Controllership or Commercial Finance (corporate)
• Strong understanding of financial systems and ability to support transitions, ERP optimizations and data migration.
• Proven record of delivering operational excellence, process transformation, and high client satisfaction in an outsourcing or global delivery environment.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and people leadership skills.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• SLA and accuracy targets for AP, Accounting, and FP&A functions.
• On-time month-end close and financial reporting.
• Efficiency metrics: cost per transaction, productivity improvements, and automation rate.
• Client satisfaction scores (CSAT / NPS).
• Team engagement and retention.
• Internal audit and SOX compliance results.
• Delivery margin and operational cost optimization.
