Our products are designed to detect minimal residual disease (MRD) and recurrence at the earliest timepoints, enable selection of targeted therapies based on ultra-comprehensive genomic profiling, and enhance biomarker strategy for drug development. Personalis is based in Fremont, California.<br><br><strong>Remote: Anywhere in the US<br></strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><strong>Summary:</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">As the Director of Sales Training at Personalis, you will be the architect of our commercial excellence. You are responsible for ensuring our direct sales organization is not only equipped with the latest clinical data but also mastered in the art of the complex sale. You will bridge the gap between Medical Affairs and Sales, transforming complex concepts into actionable strategies that win in the clinic.<br></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Design and execute a world-class "New Hire Excellence" program that reduces ramp-up time for Territory Managers.</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Develop a curriculum covering the Personalis value proposition, the clinical utility of our assays, and the competitive landscape.</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Implement ongoing training for the sales team, focusing on clinical messaging, objection handling, and account management.</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Partner with the Medical Science Liaison (MSL) team to synthesize complex clinical data into "sales-ready" messaging.</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Establish and lead a regular cadence for presenting competitive intelligence, ensuring the sales team is prepared to pivot against market shifts and competitor claims.</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Distill technical white papers and trial results into high-impact talk tracks and sales tools.</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Manage the training tech stack (e.g., LMS, Sales Enablement platforms) to track completion and competency metrics.</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Collaborate with Marketing to ensure all sales collateral is integrated into training modules and used effectively in the field.</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><strong>Qualifications:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or the Life Sciences is required</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Experience: 10+ years in Sales Training or Sales Enablement within the Diagnostics, Biotech, or Medical Device sectors (Oncology experience highly preferred).</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Ability to "speak the language" of MSLs and Oncologists while translating that knowledge into a commercial context.</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Proven track record of leading training initiatives that directly resulted in increased quota attainment.</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Exceptional presentation skills</span><br><br></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">The hiring range for this position is $200,000 to $235,000 per year, which may factor in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
