<p><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Shift Details: Monday - Friday, 8:00pm - 4:30am</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Participates in a hands-on fashion to the daily lab activities in one of the following areas by performing and assisting in laboratory tests and processes according to the laboratory’s standard operating procedures:</span></p>

<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"> Main responsibilities are to support the Histopathology Team: Prepare FFPE samples for microscopic evaluation by a pathologist- microtomy, H&E staining, and coverslipping of slides. Perform instrument maintenance and operation. Digital slide image generation, image quality control and transfer to pathology team.</span></li>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Other responsibilities may include supporting the Extractions Team: Extract DNA and RNA from different sample types (fixed tissues, frozen tissue, blood, saliva and more). Perform quality control of samples and sample storage and management. Perform data transfer to the Library Prep Team.</span></li>

<p><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Additional Responsibilities:</span></p>

<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Escalates issues to a supervisor/ lab manager when problems arise with sample processing</span></li>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Procures appropriate supplies and equipment to maximize department efficiency and meet established budgetary and quality goals</span></li>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Supports and ensures compliance with all department and company policies and procedures.</span></li>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Document all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from the laboratory’s established performance specifications.</span></li>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Performs other duties as assigned.</span></li>
</ul>
<p><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Education and Experience:</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">BA/BS in a biological discipline</span></li>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">0-2+ years of relevant laboratory experience as a laboratory technician, experience with histology lab equipment is a plus</span></li>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Excellent organization and communication skills</span></li>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Strong desire to work in a demanding, high-energy, hands-on environment</span></li>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Ability to work within a team</span></li>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Physical demands include stooping, turning, bending, squatting, kneeling, and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs.</span></li>

<p><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">The hiring range for this position is $28 to $31 per hour, which may factor in various geographic regions. <em>This shift is eligible for a shift differential pay bonus. </em>The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. Our full-time regular positions also include an annual performance-based bonus (or a sales incentive plan) and long-term incentive units (equity) provided as part of our compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.</span></p>
