Head of Accounting

As Head of Accounting, you will lead and shape the group-wide accounting function, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely financial reporting across all PERGOLUX entities. This role carries end-to-end responsibility for group and local accounting, team leadership across multiple countries, and close collaboration with the CFO on financial governance and scalability. You will play a critical role in strengthening financial structures that support sustainable growth.

What You’ll Do

• Lead Group Accounting and manage local accounting teams across Berlin and Wroclaw (10 team members).

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across all group entities.

• Prepare and review annual financial statements for all PERGOLUX legal entities in close coordination with the CFO.

• Manage external partners including auditors, tax advisors, and other financial consultants across multiple countries.

• Develop and implement group-wide accounting, compliance, intercompany, transfer pricing, and spending guidelines.
  

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years of professional experience in accounting, including proven team leadership responsibility.

• Strong hands-on experience preparing annual financial statements, ideally in trade or manufacturing environments.

• Solid understanding of group accounting, intercompany transactions, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

• Clear, confident communication skills with the ability to lead, develop, and align accounting teams.

• A structured, proactive, and ownership-driven working style with the ability to operate autonomously while aligning weekly with the CFO.
