Field Service Technician

Job Description:

·         Job Title: Field Service Technician

·         Location: BWI Airport to Ashburn VA area

·         Area of work: Able to drive within a 60mile radius servicing site.

·         Duration: 6-month Contract (with intent to hire)

·         This is a six-month contract with the intent to hire permanent should the employee perform well.

·         Shift: 8:00am to 5:00pm

Expenses:

·         Mileage provided while driving to work sites in the area.

·         Mileage is to the site and between sites is covered.

·         The mileage home is not covered.

·         One direction pays on days they go to sites other than the office address.

·         On days there is no drive to a site, the technician isn’t always required to come to the office address.

·         BAS experience is preferred with Degree OR we are also open to junior candidates with a Bach Degree in Engineering as well.

Top Three Skills: Controls, Electrical, HVAC

Duties:

·         Installation and Commissioning: Install and commission BAS systems, ensuring all components are correctly integrated and functioning.

·         Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform regular maintenance and troubleshoot issues with BAS components

·         Software Management: Download, update, and verify the accuracy of software used in BAS systems.

·         Calibration and Testing: Calibrate and test HVAC systems and controls to ensure optimal performance.

·         Monitoring and Diagnostics: Monitor BAS components for efficiency and safety, and provide diagnostics and repairs as needed

·         Staying in compliance of company required trainings.

Qualifications:

·         A minimum of 3-6 years’ experience in applicable fields: (BAS controls, HVAC controls, Controls Commissioning, PLC Programming).

·         Proficiency in HVAC systems, electrical systems, and computer networking.

·         Previous experience in BAS or related fields.

·         Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

·         Communication: Good communication skills for coordinating with other technicians and stakeholders

Certifications:

·         Relevant certifications in HVAC, electrical systems, or BAS technologies
