Job Description

Performance Contracting is seeking a Site Safety Representative for our PCI Knoxville 144 operations based on construction sites in Knoxville, TN

This individual will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Ensure that PCI and customer safety practices are adhered to by all levels of employees and jobsite supervision.  
  • Maintain safety records and site documentation
  • Oversee, communicate, and administer the Branch or Jobsite Safety Incentive Program
  • Attend at least one daily Tool Box Meeting per day and one documented safety inspection per week.  
  • Ensure that all foremen conduct at least one document safety inspection per month.
  • Facilitate the formation and operation of an employee safety committee on jobsites with more than 25 employees.
  • Assist with new hire and jobsite orientation.
  • Ensure the proper inventory of safety consumables is maintained on jobsite(s).
  • Communicate safety needs within the chain of command or ensure best safety practices.

Hourly rate: $30-40/hr

Basic Requirements

  • OSHA 30
  • OSHA 500 is a plus
  • Knowledge of construction good safety practices.
  • Good communication skills. 
  • Motivated self-starter willing to take initiative. 
  • Must have provided safety oversight or similar experience. 
  • Capable of spending 80% of daily time in the field with craft. 
  • Able to work 40hr+ work weeks. 
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic and labor experience in the field. 
  • Positive attitude and ability to work in team environment. 
  • Work well under pressure and deadline. 
  • Ability to learn new safety skills by engaging in the technical aspects of the job and applying new skills as they are taught. 
  • Ability to plan, execute and organize safety paperwork 
  • Able to work with customers and employees, building strong relationships  
  • Follow all site rules & guidelines.
