Job Description
Performance Contracting is seeking a Site Safety Representative for our PCI Knoxville 144 operations based on construction sites in Knoxville, TN.
This individual will be responsible for the following duties:
- Ensure that PCI and customer safety practices are adhered to by all levels of employees and jobsite supervision.
- Maintain safety records and site documentation.
- Oversee, communicate, and administer the Branch or Jobsite Safety Incentive Program
- Attend at least one daily Tool Box Meeting per day and one documented safety inspection per week.
- Ensure that all foremen conduct at least one document safety inspection per month.
- Facilitate the formation and operation of an employee safety committee on jobsites with more than 25 employees.
- Assist with new hire and jobsite orientation.
- Ensure the proper inventory of safety consumables is maintained on jobsite(s).
- Communicate safety needs within the chain of command or ensure best safety practices.
Hourly rate: $30-40/hr
Basic Requirements
- OSHA 30
- OSHA 500 is a plus
- Knowledge of construction good safety practices.
- Good communication skills.
- Motivated self-starter willing to take initiative.
- Must have provided safety oversight or similar experience.
- Capable of spending 80% of daily time in the field with craft.
- Able to work 40hr+ work weeks.
- Demonstrated strong work ethic and labor experience in the field.
- Positive attitude and ability to work in team environment.
- Work well under pressure and deadline.
- Ability to learn new safety skills by engaging in the technical aspects of the job and applying new skills as they are taught.
- Ability to plan, execute and organize safety paperwork
- Able to work with customers and employees, building strong relationships
- Follow all site rules & guidelines.
