Job Description
Job duties may include but are not limited to the following:
- Understands building and fire codes
- Installs fire-stopping materials in new and existing commercial construction applications
- Installs caulking at penetrations and joints using a bulk caulk gun, pulling product out of buckets, using 'sausage' packs, or standard tubes
- Inspects work to ensure the installation meets code standards and was completed per UL Design
- Ability to read blueprints and life safety drawings
- Access to penetrations and joints may require use of boom lifts, scissor lifts, swing stage, scaffolds, and ladders
- On-the-job training offered
This position is safety-sensitive.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to perform basic math
- Able to withstand prolonged periods standing and working outside
- Physically able to perform assigned tasks
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds at a time
- Must be comfortable working from heights
- Some sites may require a background check
- Must have reliable transportation
