Job Description

Job duties may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Understands building and fire codes
  • Installs fire-stopping materials in new and existing commercial construction applications
  • Installs caulking at penetrations and joints using a bulk caulk gun, pulling product out of buckets, using 'sausage' packs, or standard tubes
  • Inspects work to ensure the installation meets code standards and was completed per UL Design
  • Ability to read blueprints and life safety drawings
  • Access to penetrations and joints may require use of boom lifts, scissor lifts, swing stage, scaffolds, and ladders
  • On-the-job training offered

This position is safety-sensitive.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to perform basic math
  • Able to withstand prolonged periods standing and working outside
  • Physically able to perform assigned tasks
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds at a time
  • Must be comfortable working from heights
  • Some sites may require a background check
  • Must have reliable transportation
