About this role

Role Summary:

The Account Manager - Solar plays a critical role within the Key Accounts team, owning solar projects end-to-end, from pricing and planning through execution and delivery. This role is responsible for managing proposals, schedules, budgets, and client deliverables, while working closely with program managers, subcontractors, and safety teams to ensure high-quality, on-time execution.

Beyond day-to-day account ownership, the Solar Account Manager leads all solar-related activities and supports company-wide operational excellence initiatives. The role focuses on improving efficiency by streamlining workflows, introducing automation, and leveraging AI-driven tools to optimize processes, enhance visibility, and improve cross-team performance.

Combining a strong client-focused approach with project management and technical expertise in solar operations, this role ensures the success of solar accounts while driving scalable improvements across the organization.


Responsibilities

  • Lead all solar accounts-related activities and manage them A-Z
  • Responding to client inquiries and basic support requests
  • Tracking client info in CRM and project management tools
  • Lead planning, execution, and delivery of solar service projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and client requirements are met.
  • Drive operational excellence by streamlining workflows, implementing automation tools, and integrating AI capabilities to improve efficiency across teams.
  • Coordinate with program managers, subcontractors, construction managers, and client safety officers to maintain seamless project operations.
  • Perform engineering design evaluations and oversee quality assurance for all project deliverables.
  • Maintain the master schedule for upcoming service projects and assign work to ensure a balanced workload and timely completion.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong communication and organizational skills, experience in client-facing positions 
  • Proactive, takes ownership, and thinks creatively to solve challenges.
  • Experience in solar construction and operations, with an understanding of electrical and construction drawings.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices in drone mapping and thermography.
  • Strong technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing conditions.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with keen attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, Aviation, or equivalent experience in a related field
  • 2 - 3 years + of experience managing multiple projects
  • Experience coordinating with subcontractors
  • Demonstrated knowledge of FAA Part 107 regulations
  • Experience in UAS operations 
  • Experience using project management tools and software such as Jira or similar
