JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Department of Geoscience is seeking applicants for part-time job of research technician.
Job duties to include:
- Laboratory research assistant
- cultivate, isolate, and describe non-pathogenic anaerobic microbial populations enriched from the environment
Requirements, qualifications, and/or competencies:
- previous microbiology laboratory experience
- Experience making culture media, measuring headspace gas compositions using gas chromatography, visually and chemically inspecting microbial cultures, aseptic technique, and basic laboratory safety protocols.
