The Safety Compliance Specialist is a field-based role focused on ensuring job site and workplace safety across construction, installation, warehouse, and distribution environments. This role serves as a hands-on safety presence in the field—conducting inspections, coaching teams, enforcing compliance, and driving a proactive safety culture.
Conduct regular job site and facility inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA, state, local, and company safety standards.
Serve as a visible, daily presence on construction and installation sites to support crews and subcontractors.
Deliver toolbox talks, safety orientations, and training for employees and subcontractors.
Investigate incidents, near misses, and hazards; determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
Partner with installation teams, project managers, and coordinators to identify risks and implement safe work practices.
Enforce compliance with PPE usage, fall protection, and other critical job site requirements.
Maintain accurate safety records, inspection reports, and training documentation.
Support ongoing EHS initiatives and continuous improvement efforts across Pella Carolina operations.
2+ years of safety experience in construction, installation, or a related field.
Strong working knowledge of OSHA construction safety standards.
Ability to engage and influence employees, subcontractors, and managers.
Excellent observation and problem-solving skills.
OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, or other relevant safety certifications strongly preferred.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel daily to job sites across NC and Southwest VA.
Stable work history.
Salary range: $55,000 – $75,000 (based on experience).
