Family Nurse Practitioner - Newborns - Sunny Southwest Florida

 

Responsibilities

 

Pediatrix® Medical Group is seeking an experienced  Family Nurse Practitioner to join our established  neonatology practice in Fort Myers, Florida. This is a fantastic opportunity to practice in a supportive, collaborative environment while enjoying an exceptional Gulf Coast lifestyle.  Position Highlights
  • Provide attending coverage at Cape Coral Hospital, a Level I low‑risk delivery service
  • Responsibilities include daily newborn nursery rounding and delivery attendance
  • Flexible scheduling with 32 hour work week
  • Supported by a robust, experienced team of 10 neonatologists and 10 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners at Golisano Children’s Hospital
  • Hospital affiliated with a state‑of‑the‑art, 70‑bed Level III NICU
  • Ideal candidates will have strong prior experience in a newborn nursery

  • Single‑room maternity care model, allowing families to remain in one suite throughout labor, delivery, and recovery

Qualifications

  • Current APRN national specialty certification as an FNP
  • Minimum of a master’s degree 
  • Highly prefer strong prior experience in a newborn nursery
