Your Impact


Pearce Services is seeking a highly accomplished and driven Vice President of Business Development to lead new customer acquisition strategy and execution, delivering revenue growth for the O&M, EV Charging and Engineering segments. This executive role drives business growth through strategic planning, market expansion, and operational excellence, ensuring alignment with company goals and profitability targets. The executive will be responsible for managing a team, be a player-coach to the team to identify, prospect, pitch and negotiate new customer partnerships and opportunities that accelerate Pearce’s growth trajectory. The ideal candidate is a proven dealmaker and manager with a deep network of renewable project owners, developers, and OEM’s and has a successful track record closing service and maintenance work in the Utility and Commercial & Industrial segments. This role is a critical member of the senior leadership team and requires an entrepreneurial mindset, strategic rigor, and an advanced understanding of the renewable energy market. 


What you will do:



  • Provide leadership and direction to the Business Development (BD) team for Solar O&M, EV and Renewable Engineering providing direction for customer and opportunity acquisition. 

  • Develop and lead segment strategy, including market assessment, competitive assessments, and targeted customer acquisition.

  • Provide strategic insight to the executive leadership team on pipeline, competitive activity, and overall market direction.

  • Lead a high-performing BD team, focused on delivering results and developing scalable project operational practices.

  • Oversees the development of RFP responses proposals, bids, quotations, or other documents describing organizational products and services in response to requests from customers.

  • Use CRM and KPI’s to forecast and deliver results from the BD team.

  • Have strong O&M, service and maintenance contractual term knowledge and proven track record in successful contract negotiation.

  • Partner closely with Operations, Finance, Legal, and Accounting to deliver company objectives.

  • Manage senior level strategic customer relationships ensuring that Pearce is meeting their changing needs

  • Communicate customer needs to the wider Pearce team and manage business improvement initiatives to successful completion

  • Provide strategic direction to the business through the annual planning and forecasting process

  • Oversee marketing initiatives and industry engagement in coordination with consultants and leadership. 


Who you are:



  • 10+ years successful experience in Business Development as both hunter and farmer

  • 5+ years of experience managing a sales and account teams

  • 10+ years of power generation project development experience across renewable energy sectors, including Utility-scale Solar, Energy Storage, EV and Wind. 

  • Strong business development acumen with an excellent track record of successfully negotiating transactions and closing deals.

  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve time-sensitive issues with precision.

  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) and negotiation skills.

  • Rigorous attention to detail, work ethic, personal responsibility, work product ownership and organizational skills.

  • Proven track record of success in navigating ambiguity and thriving in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment.

  • Resourceful team player with a track record of successfully collaborating cross-functionally.

  • Proven leadership and team management skills with hands-on and collaborative coaching and mentoring style. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; expertise in financial modeling and data-driven decision-making.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship management skills. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to travel 25–50% as needed.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering, Logistics, or related field; MBA preferred.
