Here's how an Insurance Claims Analyst for PCL Constructors Inc. within Edmonton NAHQ contributes to our team:

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Insurance Claims Manager with administering, negotiating and tracking insurable losses across Canada, United States, and Australia
  • Supporting PCL districts with identifying, reporting, and handling insurable losses with low to moderate complexity.
  • Maintain accuracy and completeness of data in the Risk Management Information System (Origami).
  • Generating loss runs and verifying data as needed.
  • Aggregate, analyze, visualize, and interpret internal claims data for internal and external reporting.
  • Support internal education and awareness initiatives related to claims, insurance, and risk management practices.

Qualifications

  • Experience or education in insurance or data analysis is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of insurance concepts and processes, ideally in the construction context.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting quantitative data using Microsoft Excel.
  • Basic familiarity with construction documents, processes, means, and methods.
  • Basic understanding of legal processes and documents.
