RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

 

  • Deliver orders to customers across all shifts and verify accuracy of deliveries.
  • Perform thorough pre- and post-trip inspections following DOT guidelines; report any equipment deficiencies.
  • Maintain accurate log books and/or e-logs for work/rest periods, miles, and hours driven.
  • Drive safely at all times, paying attention to road conditions and inclement weather.
  • Communicate with your supervisor before each run for special instructions.
  • Ensure proper load securement and follow safety protocols when opening trailer doors.
  • Assist customers with safe loading/unloading when needed.
  • Wash truck and/or trailer as necessary.
  • Use maps and GPS for accurate navigation.
  • Collect and verify delivery paperwork, including BOL signatures.
  • Report defects, accidents, or violations promptly.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Basic math, reading, and computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain professional relationships.
  • Must be physically fit and able to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: 

 

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Class A Commercial Driver's License and 5+ years of Tractor/Trailer driving experience. 
  • Must be at least 21 yrs. of age. 
  • Dependable and safety conscious. 
  • Consistent on-time performance and strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent driving record. 
  • EOBR knowledge preferred.

 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

 

  • Starting salary for position:  $30.49 per hour. 
  • Bonus: Annual – Based upon achievement of plant performance metrics. 
  • Paid Vacation:  2 weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year. 
  • Paid Holidays.
  • Within the first 30 days of employment, an employee (and their dependents) is eligible to enroll in certain benefit coverages -- medical, dental, and vision – and are automatically enrolled in life, AD&D, and disability coverages.
  • Upon hire, an employee is automatically enrolled in the 401k plan. The plan offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options along with employer provided matching contributions.
