Our approach is deliberate, long-term, and grounded in trust.</p> <h3><strong>About the role</strong></h3> <p>We are looking for a Product Manager to help build and scale core products for our Microfinance Bank. This role focuses on translating customer, operational, and regulatory needs into well-defined product requirements and shipping reliable financial products in close partnership with Engineering, Design, Operations, Compliance, and Risk teams.</p> <p>You will work on foundational banking products such as onboarding and KYC, accounts, payments, lending, and internal tools, balancing customer experience, regulatory obligations, and operational realities. This role is well suited to a PM who enjoys hands-on execution, structured problem-solving, and building systems that must work correctly every day.</p> <p>This role is hybrid and requires working from the Paystack Lagos office for at least two days in a week.</p> <h3><strong>Key responsibilities</strong></h3> <p><strong>Product Ownership &amp; Execution</strong></p> <ul> <li>Own the discovery, definition, and delivery of product features across one or more MFB product areas (e.g. onboarding, accounts, payments, lending).</li> <li>Translate regulatory, operational, and customer requirements into clear PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.</li> <li>Maintain and prioritise a product backlog based on customer impact, risk, operational effort, and business value.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Cross-Functional Delivery</strong></p> <ul> <li>Work closely with Engineering and Design to ship high-quality features on predictable timelines.</li> <li>Partner with Compliance, Risk, and Operations to ensure products meet CBN and internal policy requirements before launch.</li> <li>Support launch readiness, including documentation, support enablement, and post-launch monitoring.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Customer, Data &amp; Continuous Improvement</strong></p> <ul> <li>Use customer feedback, support insights, and data to identify friction and improve core banking journeys.</li> <li>Define and track success metrics for your product area (e.g. activation, completion rates, operational exceptions).</li> <li>Support iterative improvements based on real-world usage and operational learnings.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Requirements</strong></h3> <ul> <li>6+ years of experience in product management, ideally within fintech, financial services, or regulated products.</li> <li>Strong execution skills: able to break down ambiguous problems into clear, deliverable product requirements.</li> <li>Comfort working in regulated environments with multiple stakeholders and necessary process rigor.</li> <li>Data-informed decision-making mindset, with the ability to balance speed, risk, and correctness.</li> <li>Clear, structured communicator who can align engineering, design, and non-technical stakeholders.</li> <li>Willingness to be hands-on, including reviewing edge cases, supporting QA, and refining flows post-launch.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Benefits</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Competitive salary and compensation package</li> <li>Comprehensive medical cover</li> <li>Fully covered parental leave</li> <li>Opportunity to take on leadership responsibility in a growing financial institution</li> <li>Smart, kind colleagues who are invested in your growth</li> </ul> <p><em>Paystack Microfinance Bank is an equal opportunity employer.
