About this role

About the company

Paystack Microfinance Bank (Paystack MFB) is building banking with care. We’re focused on creating reliable financial infrastructure that helps businesses and individuals manage and grow their money over time.

We operate as a separate company, building on nearly a decade of Paystack’s work in digital commerce and expanding beyond payments into credit, yield, treasury management, and embedded banking tools. Our approach is deliberate, long-term, and grounded in trust.

About the role

We’re looking for a driven, hands-on Senior Credit Risk & Ops Specialist to help build the foundation of our credit operations. This role is based in Lagos, Nigeria, and reports directly to the Managing Director / CEO.

This isn’t a traditional back-office risk role. We’re looking for a builder: someone who understands the art and science of credit risk in Nigeria, especially for business lending, and is excited to move away from manual processes towards a tech-first approach.

You’ll work closely with our Product, Data, and Operations teams to build the credit function end to end, from risk policies and product design to portfolio monitoring, collections, and recovery.

This role is well suited to a high-agency individual contributor who’s comfortable getting their hands dirty, has strong analytical instincts, and is motivated by the challenge of building scalable, modern credit operations from the ground up.
