JOB TYPE: Full Time, 

LOCATION: Remote/ Hybrid -  Travel may be required to conduct fi8led visits and other corporate events as needed by leadership.

COMPENSATION: $75k - $85k Salary, Exempt 

POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Recruiter at Paxon Energy is responsible for leading full-cycle recruiting efforts across energy and utility projects, with a strong focus on gas, electric, inspection, and field operations roles. This role partners closely with internal leadership and external clients to deliver high-quality talent while ensuring compliance, efficiency, and an exceptional candidate experience. The Senior Recruiter plays a key role in building scalable recruiting processes and long-term talent pipelines to support current and future project needs.

What you will be responsible for: (Disclaimer: The lists below are not all inclusive) 

  • Lead full-cycle recruiting for technical, field, inspection, and professional roles across energy and utility projects.
  • Partner with hiring managers, project leadership, and clients to understand workforce needs, timelines, and compliance requirements.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies using LinkedIn, Indeed, Loxo, job boards, referrals, and talent communities.
  • Screen, interview, and assess candidates for technical qualifications, certifications, and cultural fit.
  • Manage offer processes, negotiations, and onboarding coordination.
  • Ensure recruiting practices align with utility, regulatory, and safety-driven environments.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting within ATS and CRM systems.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of recruiting processes, tools, and workflows.
  • Support talent community initiatives to build long-term pipelines for future projects.

 Duties you can expect day-to-day: 

  • Review requisitions and prioritize hiring needs based on project timelines.
  • Source and engage candidates for gas, electric, inspection, and infrastructure roles.
  • Conduct phone and virtual interviews.
  • Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and clients.
  • Track candidate progress and maintain ATS data accuracy.
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders on hiring status and pipeline health.
  • Extend offers and guide candidates through onboarding steps.
  • Proactively build and nurture talent pools for recurring utility roles. 

QUALIFICATIONS:  

You must have the following: (Minimum)

  • 3+ years of experience in full-cycle recruiting, preferably in energy, utility, infrastructure, or technical industries.
  • Proven experience recruiting for field-based, technical, or inspection roles.
  • Strong working knowledge of ATS and CRM systems (e.g., ADP, Paylocity, HubSpot or similar).
  • Experience sourcing candidates using Indeed, Loxo, LinkedIn and major job boards.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and compliance-oriented mindset.

If you have the following it will be a big plus: (Preferred)

  • Experience recruiting for gas distribution, transmission, or midstream projects.
  • Familiarity with utility certifications, OQ requirements, or regulatory-driven hiring.
  • Experience supporting external clients or project-based staffing models.
  • Background in process improvement, ATS implementation, or recruiting operations.
  • Prior experience building or managing a talent community or pipeline program.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
