About this role

Position Summary:

The Design Engineer - Mobile / UX owns the user experience of Recura’s operator-facing surfaces, with an emphasis on clarity, speed, and usability. This role bridges engineering and design, ensuring that complex communication workflows feel intuitive and efficient for end users.

You will design and implement mobile and web experiences that support messaging, calling, payments, and reviews, working closely with backend engineers to ensure tight integration between UX and system behavior.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain mobile and web user interfaces for core product workflows.
  • Translate product requirements into intuitive user experiences.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs and real-time updates.
  • Improve usability of inbox, calling, and messaging interfaces.
  • Contribute to design decisions and UX patterns.
  • Ensure consistency and quality across user-facing surfaces.
  • Participate in product discussions and iterative improvements.

Education/Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in frontend or mobile engineering.
  • Experience building user-facing SaaS applications.
  • Strong UX sensibility; design experience required.
  • Prior startup experience (required).
  • Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks and tooling.
  • Familiarity with Google Suite, preferred.
