About this role

Northeast Home Loan is looking for a bright, energetic individual with Mortgage Closing or legal experience to join their team as a Closing Coordinator.

The right individual will be responsible for accurate closing documentation for all loans and problem resolution for closing, funding and post closing issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Obtain loan files from processing, reviewing to make sure appropriate sign off and documentation exists, transfer/enter necessary data into document preparation system.


Performs pre closing reviews to ensure all closings documents are accurate and complete.  Investigates and determines causes of irregularities and errors.  Proposes changes in procedures to eliminate future errors.  Reviews documents for completeness and accuracy; reports significant differences/irregularities to Processor and/or Manager.


Deliver the closing documents, via e-mail and the Internet, to the Settlement Agents in sufficient time to execute the closing.


Assist/coordinate the scheduling of closings with all related parties.


Coordinates with supervisor to prepare for anticipated workload.  Resolves problems to streamline process and keeps supervisor apprised of same.


Job Skills & Qualifications

- High School Diploma or equivalent

- 2-3 years Mortgage closing or legal experience

- Ability to work under pressure to meet critical deadlines.

- Ability to adjust schedule to meet deadlines.

- Must be a self-starter and able to work independently.

- Ability to prioritize multiple projects/tasks.

- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
