Get to Know Your Team:
- Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.
Responsibilities
- To evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing difficulties.
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans and provide counseling to patients and their families.
- Establish patient expectations understanding and goals of care.
- Create accurate documentation and reporting, as well as delegation of duties, as appropriate to support personnel.
- Maintain communication with staff and outside agencies as per state guidelines.
- Refer patients to other specialists as appropriate.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Speech and Language Pathology.
- 1 year of experience.
- Licensed in the State of New Jersey as a Speech and Language Pathologist.
- Certification by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- 2 years of experience.
- Experience with Electronic Health Records is a plus
