About the Role
We’re hiring a Senior Category / Vendor Manager to take full ownership of building and scaling our supplier ecosystem. This role is about creating supply where it doesn’t yet exist — sourcing new vendors, negotiating commercial terms, onboarding them onto Partao, and shaping how entire categories operate as we scale.
You’ll sit at the intersection of commercial strategy, supplier relationships, and execution. Today, that means hands-on sourcing and vendor onboarding. Over time, it means owning and scaling categories end-to-end.

Key Responsibilities
- Own category performance from a supply and commercial perspective — availability, pricing, supplier depth, and reliability.
- Source, negotiate, and onboard new vendors across Europe and other strategic regions.
- Lead supplier negotiations covering pricing, lead times, commercial terms, and service levels.
- Build long-term supplier partnerships while maintaining high performance standards.
- Expand and structure Partao’s vendor base as we scale into new categories.
- Partner closely with Operations, Product, and Customer teams to solve supply gaps and unblock growth.
- Drive continuous improvement in how we evaluate suppliers, negotiate terms, and scale categories.
- Act as a senior IC — hands-on today, category owner tomorrow.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in Category Management, Vendor Management, Strategic Sourcing, or Procurement.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain, or a related field preferred.
- Strong commercial acumen — you understand pricing, margin, negotiation, and total cost of ownership.
- Proven experience bringing on and managing suppliers, ideally in complex or fragmented markets.
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with limited structure.
- Data-driven mindset — able to use data to inform decisions, prioritisation, and negotiations.
- Strong communication skills in English and Polish are required.
- Builder mentality — you don’t wait for perfect systems, you create them.
Bonus Points
- Experience working in a marketplace, e-commerce, or multi-vendor environment.
- Prior ownership of supplier onboarding or vendor performance programs.
- Exposure to industrial, agricultural, automotive, or heavy equipment parts.
- Experience building or scaling categories in an early-stage or fast-growing company.
- Strong understanding of cross-border sourcing, EU suppliers, or fragmented supply bases.
- Comfort working with imperfect data and still making confident commercial decisions.
