Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Manager to join our team! This role requires:
Technical expertise in the NEPA process and one or more of its disciplines. Experience with the highway/bridge sector, specifically with Illinois DOT projects, is strongly preferred.
Organizational skills to be responsible for leading and delivering environmental tasks/projects.
- Commitment to working in a team environment and providing leadership to other staff.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Manage and/or deliver NEPA documents for highway/bridge/rail projects in Illinois. Experience with Environmental Assessments and Environmental Impact Statements preferred.
- Serve as the environmental lead on moderate sized projects and/or task/discipline lead on complex projects.
- Provide technical guidance to team members within areas of expertise.
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with other disciplines involved in projects (public involvement, roadway, bridge, drainage, construction).
- Implement Parsons’ quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) system including reviewing work products and identifying continuous improvement opportunities.
- Actively participate in public involvement activities (meetings, presentations, etc.)
- Support business development activities including project pursuits and preparation of letters of interest.
- Leadership and growth opportunities abound for motivated individuals.
What Qualifications You'll Bring:
- 4-year degree in engineering, planning, environmental science, or related field
- 10 years or more of related work experience, with experience supporting Illinois DOT projects preferred
- Relevant professional certifications (PE, AICP) are desirable, but not required
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Previous consulting experience a plus
