Job Description:
Parsons is anticipating the need for a Cost Engineer to join our team and support on a complex infrastructure project on-site in Dublin. In this role, you will develop and implement robust cost control and procurement processes to manage project budgets, forecasts, and reporting.
What You'll Be Doing:
Develop and implement cost control processes.
Prepare and manage project budgets and forecasts.
Manage procurement processes and tender evaluations.
Generate and present cost reports and variance analyses.
Identify and manage cost-related risks.
Monitor cost variance and contract cash flow.
Ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
Drive continuous improvement in cost management.
Coach junior staff.
Perform additional duties as required.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
5+ years of experience in construction cost management, PQS, or contractor/developer roles.
Proven track record on high-value infrastructure projects.
Experience supporting cost management in major project environments.
Experience influencing process improvement.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Strong knowledge of budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera, or similar tools.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Minimum Level 8 degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Project Management, or Cost Management.
CMA or equivalent certification (desirable).
Note: This position is contingent upon project award and future funding. This exciting new opportunity is planned to commence in Spring 2026.
