<p><strong>Mobile Gas Engineer – South East / London</strong></p><p>We are a leading provider of maintenance and compliance services for commercial gas systems across a mix of commercial office and luxury residential properties. We are currently expanding our team and seeking experienced Commercial Gas Engineers to join our growing company.</p><hr><h2><strong>Role Overview</strong></h2><p>As a Commercial Gas Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and compliance of commercial gas systems, including plumbing, heating, hot water, and associated mechanical systems such as pumps. You will ensure all systems operate safely, efficiently, and in line with regulatory requirements while professionally representing the company to our clients.</p><h3><strong>Typical day-to-day activity will include:</strong></h3><p>• Boiler servicing and ongoing planned maintenance<br>• Responding to reactive call-outs when required<br>• Carrying out quoted works and repair recommendations<br>• Supporting minor project works and upgrades across the portfolio</p><hr><h2><strong>Where you’ll work and how the role operates</strong></h2><p>This is a mobile position covering <strong>South East and London</strong>, supporting a diverse range of client environments.</p><p>You will form part of the <strong>Specialist Services Team</strong>, but the role will involve a <strong>blend of lone working and collaboration</strong>, depending on the task:<br>• Working independently on PPM and servicing<br>• Attending jobs alongside other mobile engineers when required<br>• Supporting the projects team on installations and upgrade works<br>• Interacting with Contract Managers and engineers on-site as PPM activities overlap</p><p>You will report into the <strong>Specialist Services Manager</strong>, receiving schedule information, daily support and operational guidance directly.</p><hr><h2><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h2><p>• Carry out maintenance, repair, and compliance checks on commercial gas systems (heating, hot water, plumbing).<br>• Perform mechanical works, including pump replacements and other mechanical system maintenance.<br>• Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.<br>• Provide detailed information and recommendations for quoting repairs and replacements.<br>• Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with Gas Safe regulations and company procedures.<br>• Maintain accurate records of works, including reporting via CAFM systems and other IT tools.<br>• Liaise with clients and colleagues professionally, maintaining the company’s reputation at all times.<br>• Assist with installations, upgrades, and mechanical system improvements as required.</p><hr><h2><strong>Candidate Requirements</strong></h2><p>• Apprenticeship-trained in a mechanical discipline.<br>• City &amp; Guilds NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).<br>• Relevant and current ACS qualifications.<br>• Gas Safe registered.<br>• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role (applications without relevant experience will not be considered).<br>• Excellent communication skills.<br>• Competent at a “user level” with IT systems (CAFM, reporting, emails).<br>• Full and clean driving licence.</p><hr><h2><strong>Why this role stands out</strong></h2><p>This position offers the scope to work on high-quality systems across a varied range of properties, gaining exposure beyond standard commercial sites.</p><p>What you can expect:<br>✨ <strong>Full kit provided</strong> — van, PPE, phone/tablet, gas analyser and essential power tools<br>✨ <strong>Supported development</strong> — training or qualifications funded where mutually beneficial<br>✨ <strong>Team culture you’ll feel part of</strong> — a genuinely supportive group who pitch in to make work run smoothly<br>✨ <strong>Variety day-to-day</strong> — no two sites or callouts look exactly the same<br>✨ <strong>A respected role</strong> — be the trusted specialist clients rely on when systems need attention</p><p>While there is no immediate progression mapped from this position, the role sits within a growing team where capability, initiative and strong performance can create future opportunities as the contract scales.</p><hr><p>If you enjoy solving problems on the tools, working independently while being part of a friendly team, and want a role where you’re trusted to get the job done right — we’d love to hear from you.</p>
