<h2><strong>Contract Supervisor (M&amp;E / Building Services)</strong></h2><p><strong>Location:</strong> South East England (Remote with travel)<br><strong>Reporting to:</strong> Contract Manager<br><strong>Company:</strong> Sowga Ltd</p><hr><h3><strong>The Role</strong></h3><p>We are seeking an experienced <strong>Contract Supervisor</strong> to lead and support a team of engineers across multiple sites in the South East. This is a predominantly <strong>remote role</strong>, with regular travel to client offices and operational sites as required.</p><p>You’ll play a critical role in ensuring planned and reactive maintenance activities are delivered safely, compliantly, and in line with contractual SLAs — acting as the key link between engineers, subcontractors, administrators, and the Contract Manager.</p><hr><h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3><h4><strong>Supervision &amp; Service Delivery</strong></h4><ul><li><p>Supervise planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works in line with schedules on <strong>SimPRO</strong> and client platforms</p></li><li><p>Allocate and coordinate work for on-site and mobile engineers</p></li><li><p>Manage specialist subcontractors on site, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and to specification</p></li><li><p>Proactively escalate risks to statutory compliance, SLA delivery, or resourcing to the Contract Manager</p></li></ul><h4><strong>Health, Safety &amp; Compliance</strong></h4><ul><li><p>Ensure full compliance with relevant Health &amp; Safety legislation, including:</p><ul><li><p>Health &amp; Safety at Work Act 1974</p></li><li><p>Management of Health &amp; Safety at Work Regulations 1999</p></li><li><p>Electricity at Work Regulations 1989</p></li></ul></li><li><p>Ensure site-specific Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) are in place, reviewed at least every six months, and adhered to</p></li><li><p>Raise and control permits to work and access permits</p></li><li><p>Identify hazards, isolate unsafe plant where required, and ensure equipment is made safe</p></li></ul><h4><strong>Systems, Reporting &amp; Documentation</strong></h4><ul><li><p>Ensure engineers fully complete SimPRO instruction sets, including photographic evidence</p></li><li><p>Review and upload subcontractor service sheets and documentation</p></li><li><p>Investigate incidents or plant failures and produce clear, factual technical reports with lessons learned</p></li><li><p>Maintain site logbooks, audits, drawings, and plant documentation</p></li><li><p>Support the Contract Manager with monthly client reporting</p></li></ul><h4><strong>Plant, Systems &amp; Energy Management</strong></h4><ul><li><p>Maintain full operational knowledge of plant and services across assigned sites</p></li><li><p>Carry out plant inspections, fault-finding, and operational checks</p></li><li><p>Review plant run times and settings to identify energy efficiency and environmental improvements</p></li><li><p>Monitor BMS systems and report faults or alarms</p></li></ul><h4><strong>People Leadership &amp; Development</strong></h4><ul><li><p>Lead, motivate, and support engineering teams</p></li><li><p>Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and technical training</p></li><li><p>Support development of engineers, including Authorised Person training where applicable</p></li><li><p>Promote professional communication, presentation, and collaboration at all times</p></li></ul><hr><h3><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></h3><h4><strong>Essential</strong></h4><ul><li><p>City &amp; Guilds Level II / III (or equivalent) in <strong>Electrical or Mechanical discipline</strong></p></li><li><p>18th Edition I.E.E</p></li><li><p>Strong Building Services / M&amp;E background</p></li><li><p>Excellent knowledge of safe electrical working practices</p></li><li><p>Proven experience supervising engineers or leading technical teams</p></li><li><p>Customer-focused and flexible working approach</p></li><li><p>Strong organisational and communication skills</p></li><li><p>Full UK Driving Licence</p></li></ul><h4><strong>Desirable</strong></h4><ul><li><p>City &amp; Guilds BS 2391 Level 3 – Inspection &amp; Testing</p></li><li><p>IOSH Working Safely</p></li><li><p>PASMA and IPAF (1b / 3a / 3b)</p></li><li><p>Unvented Hot Water Systems training</p></li><li><p>High Voltage systems experience</p></li></ul><hr><h3><strong>Working Environment</strong></h3><ul><li><p>Remote-based role with regular travel to offices and client sites</p></li><li><p>Occasional out-of-hours or weekend work to support planned maintenance and projects</p></li></ul><hr><h3><strong>Interview Process</strong></h3><ul><li><p><strong>Stage 1:</strong> Initial Microsoft Teams interview</p></li><li><p><strong>Stage 2:</strong> Face-to-face interview<br></p></li></ul>
