Primary Responsibilities:
Paramount Production Tech, is hiring a Compliance Video Editor

This position is responsible for using an excellent video editing skillset to comply a varied mixture of genre content for Channel 5 (both linear and VOD) whilst showcasing a high level of compliance expertise. 

The role will include:

•    Editing multiple hours of varied Channel 5 content from compliance notes, using excellent video editing skills.
•    Exhibiting proficiency with effects packages (Boris FX, Red Giant VFX).
•    Demonstrating high end audio editing skills. 
•    Media managing projects using Avid Nexis.
•    Using exceptional experience of broadcast technical standards to deliver to Broadcast specifications.
•    Performing quality checks both manually in edit and with assistance from automated QC systems.
•    Remedying PSE and other QC fails in edit to meet fast turnaround deadlines.
•    Showcasing a clear understanding of edit language.
•    Comprehensive understanding of Ofcom regulations.

Basic Qualifications (3 bullets, required/must have):
•    Experience of compliance video editing within ADOBE PREMIERE PRO and AVID MEDIA COMPOSER required.  
•    A keen eye for quality control and experience of using and reading automated QC system reports (BATON)
•    Excellent knowledge of OFCOM regulations.

Additional Qualifications (bullets):
•    5 years experience working in the post production industry.
•    Working a 7 day fortnight
•    Should thrive in a fast-paced environment.
•    Confident and content to work self-sufficiently.
•    Able to show independence and take ownership of projects.
