The position: 

Panasonic Avionics, is seeking a specialist professional to design, develop, and integrates complex IT enterprise software solutions with a focus on frameworks, programming, troubleshooting, and debugging IT software issues, aligned with strategic goals and technology needs.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and refine project requirements as part of the development lifecycle from conception to delivery. 

Apply best practices to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments. This individual will also mentor and provide guidance to other team members as needed. 

Planning (50%)

• Define and drive technology strategy at the project and enterprise levels.
• Lead the development and implementation of coding standards.
• Collaborate with IT leadership on long-term technology initiatives.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies into existing systems.
• Lead cross-functional teams in strategic planning and execution.

System Operations (15%)

• Design and implement proactive monitoring solutions.
• Lead efforts to automate routine support tasks.
• Act as a liaison between support and development teams.
• Develop and deliver advanced technical training for the team.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in support processes.

System Design & Integration (25%)

• Manage and lead large-scale development projects.
• Define and implement enterprise-wide coding standards.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies into existing systems.
• Provide technical expertise in solving complex problems.

Mentor (10%)

• Mentor colleagues and junior developers in providing technical strategy.
• Enable and guide cross-functional learning and collaboration.

Knowledge/Skill Requirements:

• ServiceNow expertise implementing ITSM, ITOM, ITAM (Incident, Change, CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, Service Portal, Mobile, etc).
• ServiceNow expertise with HRSD, CSM, or SPM is a plus.
• ServiceNow expertise developing service catalog items and custom applications.
• ServiceNow experience integrating with third-party applications such as Jira, Workday, Oracle, using Integration Hub and RESTful implementations.
• ServiceNow experience with IDP solutions (LDAP, SSO, SAML).
• ServiceNow experience creating/maintaining a secure UI and data environment (ACLs, business rules, UI policies, data policies, client scripts, etc).
• Understanding of ServiceNow AI capabilities like NowAssist, GenAI, etc.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
• Excellent understanding of web technologies like REST, HTTP Verbs, DOM, Web security, OAuth, etc.
• Demonstrated experience driving change within an organization and supporting complex technical projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage priorities, context switches, and make efficient use of shared resources.
• Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with user-centered, iterative design and development processes.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience and business concepts to a technical audience.
• Demonstrated ability to identify risk and escalate issues appropriately.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript / ES6, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
• Experience in high-level programming languages, such as Java, Python, JavaScript, Perl, etc.
• Experience with RDBMS such as SQL Server, MySQL/MariaDB, PostGreSQL.
• Experience with ETL patterns and practices for integrating data streams and migrating data.
• Experience presenting to all levels of users (internal and external) in English.
• Experience implementing a ServiceNow module from inception to Go Live.

Education/Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, systems analysis, or a related technical field, or 12+ years of experience in IT enterprise software development in lieu of a degree.
• 8+ years of experience in IT enterprise software development.

Other Requirements:

• Foundations Course (required).
• Product certification (preferred).
