Pali Mountain is seeking housekeeping staff to help maintain our beautiful site. We operate as a summer camp, outdoor education facility, and retreat center. Housekeepers play an integral part in keeping Pali clean and presentable for our guests
Summary
Assists housekeeping department as needed, including but not limited to the following:
Responsibilities
- Cleaning cabins, offices, meeting spaces, and restrooms. Cleaning includes but is not limited to vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, scrubbing toilets and showers, as well as emptying trash. Housekeepers are expected to be efficient in cleaning and following a cleaning schedule.
- With the diverse number of groups that we have candidates also need to be flexible and respond to cleaning issues as assigned.
- The position answers to a supervisor who makes the weekly schedule.
- Typical work week is 8:00 to 4:30pm. We are currently hiring for part-time staff only. Lunch is provided when guests are present on-site.
- Weekends work should be anticipated, holidays and evenings are possible.
- Two fifteen-minute breaks, one in the morning and one in the afternoon with a 30-minute lunch. Staff lunch is provided when guests are on-site at 11:30 am. Please be advised there maybe opportunities for advancement if you are hired on as a member of our housekeeping team. We look at current and new staff to consider for filling these positions as they become available.
- The OE/Conference season is from September through May each year. During that season, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays will be heavily scheduled with lighter attendance on all the other days of the week. The Summer Camp season is from June to approximately the end of August. During Summer Camp, Saturdays are heavily scheduled with lighter attendance on all the other days of the week. There is housekeeping scheduled both weekend days year-round.
- Days and hours may vary, your schedule may include daytime, evening, weekend, and holiday hours.
Ideal Candidate(s) have:
- Reliable Transportation as Pali Operates year Round
- Physically able to lift 40lbs, walk-up three flights of stairs, bend, kneel, stoop, squat
- Work outdoors in inclement weather
- Customer focused mind-set
- Ability to work in a team
- Strong work ethic.

We are accredited by the American Camp Association, holding us accountable to over 250 health and safety standards. The ACA visit our camp every year and go over it with a fine-tooth comb - they inspect it so our parents don't have to! Parents can rest assured that Pali is an extremely safe and supervised place for your child, while still offering them the chance to grow and exercise independence by choosing their own adventure every day.
What you'll do
- Housekeepers are responsible for cleaning cabins, offices, meeting spaces, and restrooms, ensuring that the site remains clean and presentable for guests. They must follow a cleaning schedule and respond flexibly to cleaning issues as assigned.
