Position Overview
The West Coast Key Account Manager is responsible for opening new distribution and retail opportunities across marquee and regional chain accounts and wholesalers on the West Coast. This role is focused on new account acquisition, leveraging existing buyer and distributor relationships, and expanding the company’s footprint in the West Coast. The ideal candidate is a proven hunter with deep industry relationships and a track record of getting brands authorized and launched.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, prospect, and secure new marquee, regional chain, and wholesale accounts across the West Coast
  • Leverage existing buyer, distributor, and wholesaler relationships to drive new distribution
  • Own the full sales cycle from introduction through authorization and launch
  • Build and manage a new book of business from the ground up
  • Coordinate with trade marketing, operations, finance and sales leadership to support launches and growth
  • Represent the brand in key customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events

Qualifications
  • At least six (6) years of experience in sales and/or account management positions inside sales roles, preferably within CPG organizations.
  • Recent experience in key account management positions is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with CRM systems is required.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; patient, professional, and team oriented.
  • Ability to work largely in West Coast times is required.

This is a fully remote position. Only U.S. based candidates will be considered.
