Department Overview

Within the Electric Risk & Compliance organization, the Data Quality & Analytics team provides data analytics capabilities and platforms that enable effective responses to regulatory inquiries about customer affordability, system reliability, and public safety. The team works cross-functionally across the Electric Risk & Compliance organization to enable data driven decisions by applying industry-leading machine learning (ML), and GenAI. Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated Compliance Data Analyst Expert to extend the workflow and reporting Microsoft Power Platform capabilities of this team.  You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of application development, including design, coding, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support. You will work closely with clients to understand their business requirements and translate these into effective application designs that prioritize user experience while leveraging the Microsoft ecosystem and other PG&E platforms.

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.  Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​

 

A reasonable salary range is:

  • Minimum Base Salary (Bay Area)            $129,000.00
  • Mid Base Salary (Bay Area)        $168,000.00
  • Maximum Base Salary (Bay Area)           $207,000.00

 

Job Responsibilities Specific to the Role

Power Platform Support

  • Oversee application debugging, refinement, and performance enhancement. Scope of support includes Dataverse, Power Apps applications, Power Automate workflow automation.

 

Power Platform Operations

  • Manage complex data platform projects with limited supervision on only the most complex projects.
  • Design data workflows to achieve business objectives, process data, analyze data, write clear and concise data findings and tailor communications to specific audiences.
  • Manage very complex data operations ensuring data accuracy and timeliness.
  • Acts as team lead and provides direction to less experienced employees.
  • Provide new and innovative solutions and recommendations to enhance databases with new data sources and improved data processes
  • May monitor and manage work activities of less experienced analysts.
  • May lead all audit functions
  • May manage projects or initiatives.

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • 7 years of experience as an analyst using data analysis tools
  • High School Diploma or GED

 

Desired:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Microsoft Power Platform certification(s)
  • At least five years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform
  • Expert understanding of Microsoft Power Platform services, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents.
  • Demonstrates expert knowledge in technical/professional concepts.
  • Demonstrated track record in the following:
    • Performing data migrations.
    • Developing technical specifications, conducting code reviews.
    • Diagnosing and resolving application issues.
    • Familiarity with deploying solutions and managing environments (Dev/Test/Prod).
    • Automating workflows using various Microsoft technologies, including Dataverse, Power Apps, Power Automate.
    • Scaling team productivity using Microsoft Power Platform developer tools, including Model-Driven Apps, Canvas Apps, API connectors, AI tools.
