Position Summary 

PG&E is seeking experienced compliance analytics professionals to join the Visual Management & Insight Services Team. 

 

As an Expert Compliance Data Analyst within Visual Management & Insight Services, you will play a critical role in transforming compliance and operational data into actionable insights and visual management tools. This position focuses on convening insights, shaping data-driven narratives, and delivering visual management tools that enable leadership to make informed decisions. The analyst transforms complex compliance and operational data into clear, compelling stories that highlight trends, risks, and opportunities. 

 

Leveraging deep technical, regulatory, and operational expertise, you will apply a structured approach to developing and refining advanced analytics processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven insights, compelling visual narratives, and executive-ready presentations. You will help shape the strategy for advanced analytics, ensure data integrity, and drive adoption of AI-enabled insights and visual management practices across Electric Compliance and Risk. 

 

Your work will strengthen PG\&E’s safety culture and compliance posture by delivering clear, compelling stories and dashboards that reinforce the company’s commitment to “Everyone and Everything is Always Safe.” Through your contributions, you will advance enterprise learning, transparency, and continuous improvement, support strategic decision-making, and foster a culture of innovation and accountability.

Responsibilities 

  • Data Storytelling & Executive Communication 
  • Craft narratives that connect compliance data to business priorities and risk mitigation strategies. 
  • Prepare executive-ready presentations and layered visuals (e.g., 1–3–10 frameworks) for Operating Reviews and leadership forums. 
  • Facilitate discussions that turn insights into action plans. 
  • Visual Management Leadership 
  • Design and maintain dashboards and scorecards that provide transparency on compliance performance. 
  • Apply Lean Visual Management principles to simplify complex data for quick decision-making. 
  • Ensure visuals highlight trends, emerging risks, and countermeasures. 
  • Insight Convening & Collaboration 
  • Partner with Compliance, Governance, and Operations teams to gather and synthesize data from multiple sources. 
  • Lead cross-functional sessions to align insights, priorities, and next steps. 
  • Act as a trusted advisor for leadership on compliance performance and risk posture. 
  • Quality & Integrity 
  • Validate data accuracy and consistency before publishing reports or dashboards. 
  • Maintain clear documentation of metrics, definitions, and reporting standards. 

Shape 

Qualifications 

Minimum: 

  • BA/BS in Business, Analytics, Engineering, or related field. 
  • 7+ years of experience in compliance, analytics, or performance reporting. 

 

Desired: 

  • Strong ability to translate data into actionable insights and communicate effectively with executives. 
  • High proficiency in Power BI/Tableau and including SQL, Foundry, and AWS for data validation, data mapping, and ad hoc analysis. 
  • Proficiency communication and influencing skills. 
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks (FSG, COSO, NIST, SOX) and regulatory bodies (CPUC, FERC, WECC). 
  • Experience leading visual management initiatives and facilitating Operating Reviews. 
  • Skilled in data storytelling for diverse audiences, including senior leadership. 
  • Certification and Licenses: 
  • Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) 
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification. 
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)  
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.)
